Historic day for SMC as today SMC delivered approximately $8,000 worth of medical supplies to the firefighters (Tumut RFS) to help the firefighters when they are on active duty. This weekend saw many members get out and enjoy the spring weather. Multiple groups each ventured out with all levels of rides taking place from a easy paced homebush ride for a returning member. In preparation for next weeks Bankstown Hospital fundraising ride, #SMC rode to La Perouse on this glorious springs morning enjoying the warmer temperatures. SMC also had a group cycle up the notorious hills of Razorback for some added punishment. SMC also had members participate in todays famous Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 21km half marathon. A perfect day for a wonderful event. Yesterday the breakfast crew cycled around Sydney Olympic Park followed by a five start home made breakfast while another group sped through the hills of Waterfall. A supurb Sunday cruise down to Bondi Beach and Brighton. The sun was out and the cold stayed away to make a fantastic day on two wheels. Spectacular weekend that had everything from full marathons to foggy mornings and 5-star breakfasts. Firstly a big congratulations to SMC member Mostafa Alameddine on completing the mammoth 42km Gold Coast Marathon. Well done champion! On a more laid back note SMC enjoyed another cruise to Brighton Le Sands this morning enjoying their obligatory mid ride coffee while others rode through SOP to train some beginners. Saturday saw the breakfast crew cycle SOP followed by a 5-star breakfast. Another splendid weekend in glorious Sydney

Approximately 150 cyclists gathered outside Punchbowl Mosque to ride to Brighton and back as a tribute and fundraiser in SMC’s Christchurch Tribute ride. SMC and Human Appeal International - Australia were honoured to have the @sydneycyclingsisters , @highstflyers @ratpackcc, @dulwichhillbc and other cyclists from different faiths, origins and backgrounds gather for our love of cycling and unite for this great cause. We were also honoured to have local state member Jihad Dib welcome us for the sausage sizzle put on by Human Appeal at the finish line. A tour of Lakemba Mosque was also performed by request of some guest cyclists on our way to the finish line.
